Michelle Huneven

Michelle Huneven was in the Iowa Writers Workshop Class of ’77.

She spent the next twenty years writing fiction while working in food service (waitressing, cooking, restaurant reviewing, food writing).

Her first novel, Round Rock, was published in 1997, followed by Jamesland in 2003, Blame in 2009, a National Book Critics Circle finalist, and Off Course in 2014.

She lives in the town where she grew up, Altadena, California, with her husband Jim Potter, her terrier, black cat and African Gray parrot.
