What with book tours and readings and reviews and interviews and all the other trappings of the writerly life, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with everyone who appears in We Wanted to Be Writers. So we thought we’d hit you with a couple of good news items now instead of waiting for next month’s calendar.
Gary Iorio‘s story “Frozen Puberty” has been nominated by Crack the Spine Literary Magazine for the 2013 storySouth Million Writers Award.
“In ‘The Bay of Fundy,’ written by former Weissberger Award-winner Sherry Kramer, May eats dinner every night on the most valuable antique table in the world, but her husband wants to sell it. A troubled marriage, a mysterious malaise, and where is all that water coming from? How high will it have to get before someone does something about it? A play about American money and the American dream of a table big enough to feed the world.”
Congrats, you two! Keep up the terrific work.
